Meals

Country Kids Pre-School values health and nutrition and the importance of teaching the children healthy eating habits while they are young.

We will support the parents by providing morning and afternoon tea and ask parents to provide a lunchbox for midday meal.

Morning & afternoon tea will consist of a variety of fruits & vegetables (from our own garden when available), cheese & crackers, home baking and water.

The Pre-school is adjacent to a reserve where the children will have the opportunity to enjoy the tranquility and peacefulness as they explore and discover the natural environment and wildlife and gain more knowledge of the world around them.

Farmyard Friends

Part of our daily routine is feeding and taking care of our farmyard friends, children will have the opportunity to interact, feed and care for the rabbits, lambs, calf, goat and pig & collect eggs from the chooks. Pippa the pet dog loves hanging out with the kids and all the love and affection she gets. We believe interactions with pets have a huge beneficial effect on children’s social and emotional well being.

Excursions

We acknowledge the benefits of excursions outside the pre-school that enhance children’s learning, such as visits to the library, fire station, supermarket, garden centre, airport etc.

Excursions will be based on children’s interests. Parents will be required to sign a consent form for each trip.

The Bay Hopper bus stops near the pre-school so will provide a convenient form of transport.
